Wantage Area Climate Action (WACA, formerly Wantage and Grove Green People) is a group of people who are concerned about the effects of climate change. By working together we hope to increase awareness of the issue and reduce carbon-producing activity in the local area.

Focus will be on energy saving. Please come and visit us and have a go at our energy quiz.3) We are hosting a talk on energy-saving by Mark Saunders of VWHDC on 22 January 2009 - also at the museum. We'll be promoting this at Dickensian Evening and through the local press etc. We aim to make this the first in a series of talks. What We Plan To Do NextThe more involvement we have from the community, the more we can do. We need to continue to raise awareness of climate change. As well as this we would like to influence the local carbon footprint more directly, for example by campaigning to promote green forms of transport.
