Concerns over development at Shipton on Cherwell Quarry

BBOWT (Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust) have recently put out a press release about their objection to the development proposals at Shipton-on-Cherwell quarry in Oxon (a County Wildlife Site), with concerns that if development went ahead one of  Oxfordshire's most precious sites for breeding and wintering birds would be lost.  Find out more info and links to letter writing here: http://www.bbowt.org.uk/content.asp?did=23908&level2id=5901&depth=1&rootid=5841

Words from Westmill windfarm  -  

the first kilowatt hours from the windfarm were generated on Tuesday afternoon!
