Free Entry - All Welcome

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

People and Planet and Christian Aid will be joined by Oliver Tickell, freelance climate change journalist; Chris Goodall, Green Party candidate and writer; Paul Brannen, Head of Campaigns at Christian Aid and Kevin Meaney from Oxford World Development Movement, to discuss how we will cope if, and when, the world can no longer rely on coal, gas and oil to fuel our increasing needs. With some estimating that oil supplies will run dry imminently and the UK government aiming for an 80% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2050 whilst backing plans to build 7 new coal-fired power stations, what are we to make of the situation? Will non-renewable resources really run out? And if so, what can and should we do about it?
