Moreton in the Marsh

Details: An evening visit to the woodlands and the new state-of-the-art woodchip boiler at the Batsford Estate, Moreton in the Marsh, with resident Forester Mr Mike Hartnell. Though the weather may not be cold enough to get the boiler to cut-in, attendees will be able to take a good close-up look at its installation, storage and feed mechanisms. The woodlands supplying the woodchip feedstock will be visited and supply issues will be debated. Transport by coach has been arranged from Bodicote, Banbury. Places are very limited and bookings must be received in advance, please contact Ms Susan Marchand at the Cherwell District Council offices 01295 252535, sue.marchand@oxfordshire.gov.uk. The event is organised by Cherwell District Council, in conjunction with the Oxfordshire Woodland Project.
