Event: ECOBIRDSEvent: ECOBIRDS On: Friday 20th of June, 2008 From: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Contact: Sjoerd Vogt Contact email: sjoerd@REMOVE.ecoweek.info Website: http://www.ecoweek.info/Find_Out_More_/ECOBIRDS/ecobirds.html Venue: Kilmester Farm, Details: Did you know that we have the Farm with the most bird species in the entire country right on our doorstep? In a 2006 RSPB survey, Kilmester Farm, on the Buscot & Coleshill Estate, had the highest number of different bird species recorded (71 species) on any farm in the UK. Adam and Lorna Symonds moved to the National Trust-owned Kilmester Farm in 2006 and since then, they have tried to maintain the rich wildlife. Adam is an expert in birds and has kindly agreed to take all those interested on a Bird and Farm walk starting 5.30pm on Friday 20th June, lasting approximately two hours. There’s no charge for the walk and coffee will be served at the end - but please wear sensible footwear and sorry, no dogs. Tags: Faringdon Eco week |
