Mark Dowd, Campaign Strategist for Operation Noah and BBC journalist of the Year 2006 brings together environmentalism and religion when he delivers his talk Americans and Global Warming: From Denial to Grudging Acceptance during ECOWEEK.

Operation Noah was the first Christian campaign to focus exclusively on the issue of Climate Change and this continues to be its mission. Former Dominican Friar Mark Dowd was for 20 years a television producer; he was also the journalist who successfully challenged the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, to give up flying for a year on the Channel 4 documentary, God Is Green, last year. Mark says, “Christians have a huge role to play in bearing prophetic witness and for living simpler lives that respect the increasingly fragile state of God’s creation.” You can hear more from Mark Dowd at Faringdon Corn Exchange on Thursday 19th June at 7.30pm.
