You may have been inspired by the spectacle of thousands of people coming together to stop a new generation of climate-cooking coal-fired power stations. You may now be wondering 'how can I get involved in this amazing movement?' If so, then come along to...PUBLIC MEETING **Climate change is happening. **Business as usual can't carry on. **We need a mass movement to take action, build solutions and spread alternatives. Come and get involved in a friendly evening of films and discussion about how WE can contribute to this growing movement for change. Thames Valley Climate Action are a group of people living in Oxford and the surrounding region who meet regularly to plan events and actions to stop runaway climate change and bring about a fairer, more sustainable world. We formed the Thames Valley 'neighbourhood' at this summer's Kingsnorth climate camp - and at Heathrow last year - but have also been involved in lots of local campaigns and direct actions. We meet regularly on Monday evenings at East Oxford Community Centre, and we would love new people to come and get involved! |
