On: Thursday 3rd of September, 2009 From: 7:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Contact: Maranda St John Nicolle Contact email: maranda@REMOVE.ccow.org.uk Venue: Oxford Town Hall, St Aldates, Details: Oxfordshire Climate Alliance meeting on 3 September: How can we campaign on climate change? The Oxfordshire Climate Alliance meeting for people interested in campaigning on climate change this Autumn is almost here! At last count over 35 different groups -- from low-carbon communities to agencies to campaigning groups to student groups to churches to businesses -- from all around the City and the County are going to be represented . . . . and all are welcome to join in. The meeting is from 7:30 to 9:15 pm at the Town Hall in Oxford. Lucy Pearce from Stop Climate Chaos is going to discuss plans for the 5th of December, and we hope that Ben Margolis, who heads the new international campaign tcktcktck, will introduce that campaign as well. We'll think about how to respond to these large-scale initiatives, and then local groups will have time to present their Autumn plans. Then we'll split into "open space" groups, so that people can join together to think about/plan what most interests them. Everyone is very welcome: please let us know (c/o maranda@ccow.org.uk) if you are coming, and if you have any plans you would like to present. |
