Details:
- Whether keeping chickens at home or on your allotment, keeping pet chickens can be rewarding and these workshops will help you get started.

11am: Meet and greet Lorraine's Chickens. Meet local chicken owner Lorraine Jackson and her chickens! Pet and stroke the chickens on site. Ask Lorraine how she looks after her chickens in a small Oxford garden.

2pm: Learn how to keep chickens at home and on your allotment. Local author Julia Hollander will be launching her new book Chicken Coops for the Soul and will give a talk about chickens - their housing, food, health, social habits, weeding abilities and more. Julia will also advise on the legal issues around home grown eggs.*
There will also be face-painting for children from 2pm-4pm, and refreshments available. *Between now and 15th June, you can also enter a competition to win an eco-friendly hen house.
