ONCF's (Oxfordshire Nature Conservation Forum) aim is to draw together all the groups that have an impact upon conservation within Oxfordshire, to work together so that duplication of effort is avoided and the scarce resources of time and money are optimised. It does this in a variety of ways: - co-ordinating the Oxfordshire Biodiversity Project - providing networking and training opportunities for people involved in conservation - giving free information on walks, talks and events that are happening around the county. ONCF encourages co-ordination amongst our members through the county LBAP (Local Biodiversity Action Plan). Oxfordshire's Biodiversity partnership is made up of 20 key organisations involved in running a ground-breaking biodiversity project that focusses on key hotspots. For more information contact Tom Butterworth Biodiversity Project Manager bap@oncf.org.uk To support Local Community Conservation Groups we hold an annual Community Groups Conference. The aim of the day is to provide training for volunteers as well as an opportunity for networking and sharing of ideas amongst the groups. We provide a free weekly Environmental Email bulletin detailing walks and talks in the county. Contact Cynth Napper, Community Officer cynth@oncf.org.uk
