Last Wednesday (21st) myself and Hannah attended a Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) meeting hosted by DEFRA. The meeting brought together members of all the CCF funded projects and provided an ooportunity for us all to meet one another and share ideas, experiences and also to tap into the networks we are all building up. The event was a great success and it was invigorating to meet so many other people and hear about their exciting projects. It was also very heartening to see how enthused DEFRA are about the projects, and indeed they are providing some really helpful support around the projects themselves such as training and publicity. For me personally, I was amazed by the breadth and variety of the other projects. From what I saw on Wednesday I think CCF is really going to get the message out there.
LA Times Interview
The exposure and coverage of the Climate Challenge game continues to gain pace and has reached as far as California. This morning I gave an interview for the Los Angeles Times Internet and Entertainment section, which will feature in a couple of weeks. If you are interested in the press Climate Challenge has been getting you can see it here: http://www.red-redemption.com/news/ Gobion
New Climate Challenge figures
The Climate Challenge game we launched in January on the BBC.co.uk site has received over 300,000 plays in the first month of going live. It is very exciting to have reached so many people!
Climate Challenge figures
This is my first blog post and I thought I'd start it with a quick post about how our game Climate Challenge has been doing. In its first week it received over 82,000 unique plays, which is great news. If you haven't had a go at the game you can try it out here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/hottopics/climatechange/climate_challenge/ We have also received some great feedback, my favourite quote being: "This thing is catnip for climate geeks. Go waste an hour." WorldChanging: http://www.worldchanging.com/archives/005915.html
