A new Google feature, Google Trends shows who has been doing the most searches for particular key terms. Oxford is top of the list for people searching for "Climate Change". (Though not top for Global Warming)
Early pollen?
Late last night the back of my throat had a very tell-tale itch. Hayfever season has started for me and this year it is severely early. Last year saw summer arrive pretty late (despite not having a massively cold winter overall) and I didn't get any hayfever symptoms until late May and didn't need medicating until June. This year, it's already starting. My only hope is that the early start will also mean an early end as I'm usually in utter misery until mid August. Here's hoping!
Climate-X Design #1
I work for Red Redemption as Creative Director and have been busily working on this very site getting it from concept to finished product. I'm very glad to say that it's almost there. The idea for the Climate-X website was that it would act as a virtual scrap book for anyone to add their thoughts and opinions to. Now, after much fiddling, we've finally working in photographs too, so people can add their snaps to the scrap book. I've added the following two images today which are in many ways traditional views of Oxfordshire seasons. These traditional views are becoming less the norm and more the exception. In 2004, the Jericho canal was frozen from Januaray to March... this year, hardly ever. I don't know if this sort of change is permanent but it's definitely clear that the weather is becoming even more unpredictable, even for England!
