Two months into coordinating the ClimateXChange and every day I'm feeling that we're tapping into a rich vein of enthusiasm for getting further involved with the issue. Sharing experiences and providing support on a local level has never been more important. Although awareness about climate change may be at its highest level ever, this can easily lead to overwhelm unless people know what they can do locally, and that there are hundreds of people across Oxfordshire also getting involved. The events attended in January were a testimony to the importance of 'joining the dots' between the people taking action, those wanting to get involved, and the ideas that stimulate further engagement in the issues. We're developing our website to help people network locally, and share the ideas that are increasing involvement every day. Blog post by jo_hamilton on Feb. 07, 2007 at 12:02 p.m. |
