Happy reading and best wishes (15-Jul-11) ClimateXchange update # 66_November 2010 - Welcome to the November issue of the ClimateXchange update. It’s a busy time of year – community groups have been running fantastic eco-fairs, apples have been pressed, carbon conversation courses are taking off across Oxfordshire, and the next few weeks seem to be full of Climate change activity. This Friday, 5th November, is the Big Climate Connection, and local MP Nicola Blackwood is being lobbied at 5pm at the Jam Factory , Oxford, Satish Kumar speaks at One Earth, Many Faith on 11th November, and Saturday, 13th November is Oxfordshire’s Runaway Climate Challenge conference . See Communities for further information: there’s still time to book to join the 20 + community groups and over 12 workshops. The next issue will be out in early December – as usual send reports of events, upcoming events and suggestions for news and resources to jo[at]climatex.org. (03-Nov-10) Oxfordshire ClimateXchange update #65 - October 2010 -
Welcome to the September - October combined issue. As usual, it's stuffed full of new resources, recent commentary and news, and more events than you can shake a stick at. Featuring how to register for the Runaway Climate Challenge (13th Nov) , car clubs expanding and new ways to share cars, news of solar PV schemes ... and more, but to kick off here's a message from the President of the Maldives on the importance of taking action: "As President of one of the world's most climate vulnerable countries, I want to thank you for your tireless work and offer my wholehearted support for the Global Work Party on 10/10/10. I shall be working hard in support of 10/10/10, up on my roof installing solar panels donated by Sungevity. But my event is just one of dozens of activities planed in the Maldives and thousands worldwide in support of this campaign.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to continue working to ensure that the planet meets the sustainable goal of returning CO2 concentrations to 350ppm. For the Maldives, 350 is more than just a number: it is a passport to survival for our entire nation.
With best wishes, President Mohamed Nasheed" ClimateXchange update #64 - August 2010 - Welcome to the August issue of the ClimateXchange update.
