Claim Up to $75 Subway Credit Card Receipt FACTA Class Action Settlement
A cash settlement has been reached in the lawsuit against Subway entitled Shane Flaum v. Doctor’s Associates, Inc.
Consumers who used a credit or debit card to buy a footlong sub or other food items at Subway may be entitled to a slice of the $30.9 million settlement pie.
Class members contend Subway violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (aka FACTA) by printing the expiration date on customers credit and debit cards on receipts.
The Subway FACTA settlement explains that not all Subway locations were affected, only those with a Subway Payment Manager system programmed to print credit or debit card expiration dates.
Subway denies any actions of wrong doing but have agreed to settle in order to avoid the cost of a long trial.
Who should file a claim?
“Class Members include consumers who, between Jan. 1, 2016 and March 23, 2017, used a credit or debit card in a purchase made at a Subway location that was using the Subway Payment Manager programmed to print the card’s expiration date.” – dai-factasettlement.com
Please note in order to file a claim in the Subway Credit Card Receipt Class Action Settlement the class member must provide the claim ID.
